To ensure that the final Pseudomonas aeruginosa genome sequence has the best possible annotation, a community project has been established to allow Pseudomonas researchers to contribute information and comments about specific sequences. We invite researchers to submit annotations of sequences, proposed nomenclature, sequence corrections, or other relevant information. The submissions will be reviewed by the submission administrators, with reference to an annotation committee, for inclusion in the genome annotation. Submitters will receive full credit for their annotations, which will be recorded with the submitters name(s) and any literature citation(s) in a format similar to a Genbank sequence submission. This Pseudomonas Community Annotation Project (PseudoCAP) is being led by Dr. Fiona Brinkman and Dr. Bob Hancock, with funding provided by the U.S. Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
